What we do
A complete and modern manufacturing facility in-house
Manufacturing is at the hub of business in Holmes, full servery schemes are manufactured, pre-assembled and tested in-house at our factory in York. The factory is fully equipped to handle the wide-ranging capabilities needed for our clients’ projects. In-house processes include sheet metalwork, fabrication, joinery, electrical and refrigeration systems, assembly and testing.
Having both design and manufacture within our 30,000 sq ft complex means that all projects can be treated as bespoke, while benefiting from the cost, time and quality advantages of modern manufacturing technology.
Working alongside our intergroup company Space Furniture, we can offer a full interior service designing and installing complete furniture schemes for the hospitality market

Front of House Servery
A front of house food service facility design must be functional, efficient and attractive. From a working perspective it should have the capacity to cope at the busiest time and be easily navigable by the staff. From a customer perspective it must be able to deliver an efficient and quality service enabling them to choose quickly and decisively from a wide range of options without feeling pressured.
At Holmes, we understand that, above all, food service areas must generate profit for the business by offering an attractive and accessible facility.
Back of House Fabrication
Holmes manufactures and supplies a wide variety of bespoke stainless steel products, from stainless steel benches and gantries, to a complete stainless steel kitchen, including the extraction canopy.
We have been fabricating items in stainless steel for almost 30 years, and with a wealth of experience in laser cutting, shaping and forming stainless steel, with highly skilled and experienced metal workers, welders and polishers, all in-house at our factory in York, we can provide you with the highest quality products, fully tailored for your individual project.
Retail Display Schemes
Every detail of product display has to be right to maximise sales. Holmes works in partnership with clients, from small specialist shops to leading supermarkets to improve their food retail environments.
Retail display schemes must be attractive to customers whilst improving the efficiency of everyday shopping and working environments by maximising the use of accessible space. They must also be distinctive as one of their key functions is to reinforce brand identity. The Holmes design team ensures that all these criteria are met.
